| Bio or Character Study | Megan was an ugly duckling as a kid but still had a great bunch of friends and she was too young for a boyfriend anyway, especially considering what a tom-boy she was. Her parents found the southern life too slow paced and jumped at the oppurtunity to live in New York when her Dad got a promotion. Megan and her friends had promised to keep in touch but, unfortunately, that didn't happen. Megan wrote dozens of letters all about her new home and school but never recieved any replies, she was devestated. She didn't have a much better experience in school either, she got constantly teased over her accent and quaint county ways. She felt alone and sought confort in food. She gained a lot weight and became severely depressed, until she fell in love. She thought this boy loved her for what was inside but it turned out to be a cruel trick from the other kids. This was the final straw for Megan. She was no longer going to be the victim. She worked hard for the entire summer and arrived back to school looking like a knockout. She began treating people as she had been treated. She used boys, bullied girls and did whatever she wanted. She kept this mentality until she fell pregnant. She couldn't go through with the abortion but she couldn't let anyone know what had happened. So she returned to Huntington Beach for a short, nine month vacation.
